There have been seasons in my life where I was running full speed ahead, devouring as much of Gods Word as I possible could.
There have also been seasons in my life when all I read was a single verse for the day.
There were yet other seasons where I would be sitting in the closet weeping before God with my bible open. Trying to read the words, but tears would not stop.
Sister, which of these times do you think Father was most pleased with?
The truth is, I would have told you the very first.
I would have said He wants my all or nothing. He wants me running full speed towards Him, I would have told you.
And yet, I can recall a time when Fathers love broke through my limiting beliefs and set me free.

So often in my life, the life of the people around me, we battle guilt, shame and condemnation over the ways we respond or react to certain situations.
Often the way we react has a lot to do with our upbringing and the way our brain has been wired.

Hope takes courage.
Because believing He will fill us with hope and the ability to love again will take courage. A courage that only He can provide.Even the faith to ask will have to come from Him, and I fully believe that if you ask Him He will provide it, because it aligns with His will for our lives.

When life is hard and painful and all we see and hear and feel is pain, look up, can you hear Him calling, calling you closer. This giant that is before you will not destroy you. God will see us through.

Because joy is not dependent on our circumstances but on who He is! He is joy. He is Peace. And He offers these to us, amidst the disappointments and pain. He offers us Himself.
