How to love the body you have today
Our brains are incredible sister.
They will believe what we tell them. If we focus on everything that is “wrong” with us, guess what will loop in our minds?
Discover with me a new way to live! Come and see!

His peace is a free gift of His Spirit.
It is Who He is. Giver of Peace, for He is peace Himself.
One of the nine fruits of the spirit, given to you and I, these are outlined in Galatians 5:22-23
Sister, whatever you are walking through today, I want to invite you to rest in the abiding Presence of Our Savior King.
He will never leave us, nor forsake us. No matter how it feels today, let these be the words you speak.
“The Lord is my defense, my very present help in time of trouble.”
Speak His Word, back to Him.
Digging deeper into what it means to have peace, even in unknowns, even in pain. Even here.
So often in my life, the life of the people around me, we battle guilt, shame and condemnation over the ways we respond or react to certain situations.
Often the way we react has a lot to do with our upbringing and the way our brain has been wired.
God has hope for us. Peace that stays.
I have often sat with The Lord and have inquired of Him.
Trying to make sense of the mystery of peace.
How can one person go through so much turmoil and yet, Gods peace is evident in their lives?
Hear me, this doesn’t mean we never get scared, shaken. feel afraid, nervous about a situation, unsure.
What it does mean is that we run to Him who knows us by Name. When we go to the source, Our true King, we lean not on our own understanding.
We begin to trust in Him. As we trust in Him it is He who makes our paths straight.
Who sends those friends to pour into you when you really needed them to.
Come and stay in peace with me.
Father has joy for us. Peace for us. Laughter and yes, even fun! So much fun!
The enemy?
He comes to kill, steal and to destroy.
Of course he doesn’t want us to rejoice in the life that we have.
He wants us to be miserable and to question Gods goodness, to doubt His provision.
All things I have done.
Because when clarity leaves, confusion sets in and causes much chaos in our minds.
I invite you see with me the beauty and the fun that is present here and now.
I used to often wonder, why is it so difficult for some of us to find joy in simple seemingly insignificant, mundane every day moments.
I don’t often wonder that anymore as the more I live the more that I see, we compare our lives so much to others.
Some of us gage how good of a day we are having based on what someone else is doing.
If someone is on vacation having an amazing time and I’m “stuck” at home washing dishes and changing dirty diapers their life appears to be so much better than mine.
Sister, this just isn’t the truth.
For most of us, we can’t just pick up and go on vacation, and many times after months of plan we might still not be able to travel very far from home.
I want to invite you on a journey of enjoying the simple mundane moments and adding more beauty into our everyday lives.
Every single day, multiple times a day. I am met with a decision, a choice. Will I listen to fear?
Or will I be content in the unknown. Will I rest in the unchanging nature of God.
Or will I listen to the voice of control that demands I find all the answers and try to figure out life all on my own.
Will I trust God and wait on His timing. Or will I run ahead of Him?
Everyday we get to make a choice to run to Father with the worries, fears and anxiety that arise.
The Lord does not want us to run in fear.
But in trust and confident assurance that God will once again meet us in our uncertainty. Meet us in the in between.
Lets discover how to be content even when life is difficult and feels uncertain.
What if the truth is we are all longing for community? Every single one of us, but we just don’t know how.
Does life feel too busy? Too messy, to invite others in?
Slowly we are being isolated, conditioned for loneliness.
While we are slowly dying, desiring for human connection.
The Lord extends His hand and say’s
“I have life for you, life abundant, eternal.”
Every time I sit with dear friends at least once I will say, I have no idea why I am sharing this with you.
Sister, I have no idea why, but God does! He knows the questions we’ve been wrestling with. The trauma we are fighting hard to overcome.
The loneliness we have been fighting. The betrayal. The abuse. He knows it all. And He has provided His daughters, you and I for one another!
It is for our good, for His glory that we come together!
Come and see.
The myths that keep us lonely.
For years I had this belief that everything needed to be perfect.
That people were coming over only to look at my house.
To see my mess.
To tear me down. To inspect with a white glove.
To talk about me to other people.
I would stress over my home being clean.
Until one day when everything changed, I want to share with you the tips that have helped me to open up my home.
In seasons of joy and in seasons of grief.
Get excited about having friends over, hosting made simple.
You’ve heard the mantras, “You can do it all”, meaning, you should be able to juggle everything perfectly- work, keep a home, stay on top of your health, take good care of your kids, your spouse and still look good at the end of the day.
Sister, this just isn’t the case. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen my sisters running on empty believing this lie.
Lean in, The Lord has good in store for us, productive days that do not leave us empty are ahead.
